AAUW-ODC established a $1000/Yr. financial aid scholarship fund at Durham Technical Community College in 2020 with an initial investment of $3000. Applications for the 1st scholarship award were due on April 15, 2021.

“My career goals include becoming a pediatric surgeon with a background in business administration. This scholarship will give me the financial and mental security to continue my education, and it will aid in alleviating my anxiety and insecurity that is common around the start of a new semester. Most of all, this scholarship will assist in reaching my academic and career goals in the future by giving me the security I need right now, financially, mentally, and physically; my education is a non-negotiable deal I have with myself. ”
