“Sputnik and Title IX: Opening Doors for Women in Higher Education” with special guest, Dr. Deondra Rose, Duke University, on April 29, 2021 was a huge success. 

We raised more than $4K for our 3 local scholarships!

AAUW-ODC BRANCH SCHOLARSHIPS:

AAUW-ODC Schwenning (UNC-CH): A local need-based scholarship given to a woman graduate student at UNC-CH by our branch. Funding: $1,500.

AAUW-ODC NCCU:  Financial aid to a woman graduate student at NCCU by our branch. Funding: $1,500.

AAUW-ODC Durham Tech: Financial aid scholarship to a woman who is finding her post-secondary education or career needs met at the local community college. Funding: $1,000.
